SCARY TALES FOR HALLOWEEN
A
writing contest for the 2nd Cycle of ESO
All
the students from the 3rd and 4th ESO courses have a chance to win a prize by
joining our writing contest.
===What
do they have to do?
a)
Just write a short story (the shorter, the better) connected in some way to the
spirit (decorations with pumpkins, spells, fancy-dress parties, trick-or-treat
visits…) and the frightening characters of Halloween: ghosts, vampires, witches,
skeletons, spiders, scarecrows, zombies, black cats, etcetera.
b)
Give the final draft to the English teacher (it is important to make sure that
they write a title for the story in the beginning, and their full name and
class group at the end).
===What
are the rewards for participating?
Apart from extra points for
the writing practice (which can help the students get better marks), both the
best ‘scary tale’ written by a 3rd ESO student on the one hand, and by a 4th
ESO student on the other, will be presented with a 15€ FNAC card (to buy some
reading, informatics and music stuff). Besides, the two winning stories will be
uploaded on the English blog of the school.
===Is
there a deadline?
Yes,
there is. The students must give their stories to the English teacher before
Monday 14th October. There is little time left, so go ahead!!
