FUN GRAMMAR: CREATING QUESTIONNAIRES!!

The students in 4º were supposed to practise the structures of the 2nd Conditional by creating their own questionnaires (similar to that on page 101 of the coursebook: HOW ROMANTIC ARE YOU?).

Some intended to test how sexy, how tolerant, how sensitive, how polite, how artistic, how ‘fashion’ or how daring they were.

Nevertheless, to illustrate this entry with samples of the work done by the students, I have chosen the topic which has been selected by most of them:

        HOW   ADVENTUROUS   ARE   YOU ?

1. If you got lost in the jungle, you would…

    a) …search for people to help you

    b) …make a compass to guide you.

    c) …feed a tiger, tame it and teach it to protect you.

2. If you were in a zoo and someone told me to touch a snake, you would…

    a) …start crying because you hate snakes!

    b) …be afraid but you would touch it anyway.

    a) …go to your village, which is a peaceful place where you could visit your family.

·       7 – 11 points:

You are not an adventure person (6*). You don’t even enjoy watching ‘Indiana Jones’ on TV (5*). You don’t like living new experiences in your life (3*). You may prefer sleeping to having a good time (1*). You are afraid of almost everything (4*). Definitely, you have to change (3*). You must improve your attitude (4*), face your fears (4*) and open your heart to the world (2*). Otherwise you will miss incredible things (4*)

·       12 – 16 points:

You love adventures when you play a game, but not in real life (7*). You are a normal person with common likes and preferences (6*). A little calculated risk from time to time is not too dangerous (5*). You would like to do many things but you are an insecure person (2*). You are practical and responsible and so before doing anything you always think about its consequences (3*). At times you hesitate too much and you may lose unique opportunities some day (4*).

·       17 – 21 points_

You are extremely adventurous but be careful,  sometimes you go too far (5*). You like to challenge impossible goals and are not afraid of anything (1*). You love exciting things and live your life to the limit, so some people near you think that you are crazy (6*). As far as you are concerned, you would rather live in a fiction world (7*).You enjoy travelling and getting to know other languages and cultures (2*). You know how to spend your fee time and enjoy life, but you also need to be thoughtful sometimes (3*). In short, you have reached the adventurous expert level !!! Nothing frightens you and you are capable of anything, but remember to be careful because someday you can be given an unnecessary scare (4*).
